Greenacres covers both established homes on generous lots and newer infill subdivisions, and the two want quite different displays. On the older lots the house usually sits back behind mature planting, so a roofline-only display loses a lot of its effect by the time it reaches the road.
Those properties do better when some of the work comes forward — a lit entry, a porch, a tree or two near the front of the lot — so there is something at a readable distance as well as the roofline behind it.
In the newer subdivisions the houses sit close to the street with simple modern rooflines. There, a clean single run along the fascia is usually all it needs, and it is one of the more cost-effective jobs we do.
Detached garages and shops are common across Greenacres and they are cheap to add while we are already on site. A matching run on an outbuilding ties a property together at night and stops the house looking like an isolated bright spot.
If your lot has outdoor power at the shop, say so when we quote — it usually simplifies the cable routing and keeps the cost down.
Valley wind is hard on seasonal lighting, and Greenacres gets its share. Our installs include maintenance through the season, so a run that comes loose in a December gale is our problem rather than yours.
Takedown in January is included as well, and the lights are stored ready for the following year. For most clients that is the half of the job they least want to do themselves.
You can book a single season, and plenty of people do. The alternative is our five-year programme, where we handle the whole cycle, install, in-season maintenance, takedown and storage, and repeat it each year without you having to rebook.
The programme suits people who already know they will want lights every December and would rather stop thinking about it. A single season suits people trying it for the first time. We will quote whichever you ask for and we do not push the longer commitment.

Greenacres frontages often have room for more than a lit roof: shrub beds along the front of the house, a porch, a path up from the drive. Mini lights through low planting and a lit entry give the display depth at the distance people actually approach from.
Ground-level work does need thinking about in a snow year. Anything low will spend part of the season buried, so we keep it to planting that stands proud rather than fittings sitting on the ground.
