We own the lights, taking full responsibility for their condition and maintenance throughout the contract period.

Chattaroy Christmas Light Installation

Q: Can I use my own lights?

I’m sorry, but we only use our commercial-grade lights for several reasons, with the biggest being fire hazard concerns. Our LED bulbs have little to no chance of catching fire.

Q: How is your service priced?

Each job varies depending on the number of lights required. You can choose toilluminate part or all of your roofline, trees, shrubs, etc. It’s important to note that trees can be more expensive as they require a significant number of lights and are time-consuming to install.

Q: Is there a time commitment to using your service?

Yes, we offer a five-year program where we handle everything from start to finish. Which includes putting the lights up and taking them down. Storage until the following season and maintenance of burned out bulbs or blown down strands.

Q: Can I have the same lights as I had last year?

Yes, we store your design until the following year. If you wish to add more lights, that’s also an option, and we will adjust the price accordingly.

Q: Will the lights start to fade year to year?

While this was a common issue with lights used in the past, the new LED Commercial Grade lights we use will maintain their brightness for years to come.

Frost pockets and early cold

The valley floor around Chattaroy sits in a cold pocket, and it reaches freezing noticeably earlier in the autumn than the ridges above it. For an install that matters: frozen ground and frosted roofs arrive sooner here than the calendar suggests.

We try to get Chattaroy properties done while there is still give in the ground and grip on the roof. It is a straightforward scheduling point rather than a sales one, but it genuinely affects the quality of the job.

Houses, shops and the gap between them

Most properties out here have at least one outbuilding, and the distance between the house and a shop or barn is often substantial. That is a cable-routing question as much as a design one: the run has to get there safely, on a circuit that can carry it, without crossing anywhere a vehicle will drive.

We work that out before install day. Adding an outbuilding to the quote is inexpensive while we are on site; retrofitting it in December is not.

Displays that read from the road

Chattaroy houses sit well back, and a display sized for a town lot disappears at that distance. The successful ones here put real light at the roofline and then something closer to the road — a lit gate, a wrapped trunk, the shop frontage — so the property reads as a whole.

We will walk the approach with you and show you what each option looks like from the gate rather than from the porch.

My mind is still blown how cool of a program their service is. They do everything. No more ladder climbing or trying to untangle my lights, I just write them a check and it’s done. I’ve used them for three years and will use them for another three
